Beliefs and How They Work in The Human Ego Mind

Jan 24, 2024

No one does anything they don't believe will benefit them.  You move toward what you believe will benefit you.

So if you're moving toward something you don't desire, you can identify the false beliefs you have accepted and eradicate them and then you will no longer believe erroneously that you are somehow benefiting from moving toward something you don't desire.

You can choose to investigate the false beliefs and unlock the false definitions causing the false beliefs.   In your investigation you will find that the belief is not true, but simply a false definition you picked up along the trail of your life.  That belief doesn't belong to you!  You're a belief thief!  ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

These false definitions are attached to your motivational mechanism - it's just how the ego mind works in a human.  And when a false definition is fueling a false belief, the motivational mechanism is all messed up, as you move toward something you don't want, (falsely) believing it will benefit you.

So it's so simple.  You can choose to investigate the false definition, the false belief, and realize that you're telling yourself a story which is untrue.

Why do we do this?  Sometimes the familiar feels better than the unknown...even if the familiar is based upon a false definition and false belief and is causing you to move toward pain and suffering.

The great news?  You get to choose to create a new definition in alignment with your authentic inner being.  You can choose to create a new belief.  A belief is just a thought you keep thinking.  And in every moment you are a new person in a new moment having a brand new experience.
