Negative Beliefs
Jan 23, 2024
Negative beliefs will attempt to prevent you from changing them. It’s one of the things that negative beliefs are designed to do in general, to perpetuate themselves. Negative beliefs will use certain kinds of negative tactics to prevent you from changing them. That’s how they perpetuate themselves. So they call upon or amplify the beliefs within you that say, “This is gonna be too tough….” Or “This is gonna take a long time….” Or “This is gonna be scarier than I want it to be…” etc. etc. etc. This will make you suddenly feel that you don’t have the ability, energy or support to do such things. Your negative beliefs use words like “lazy,” “broken,” “tired,” “not good enough,” “never follow through,” etc. etc. etc. But you can choose to see through that. You can choose to understand it’s just a trick and a tool of the negative beliefs, attempting to prevent you from recognizing this.
The negative belief is actually EASY to let go of. It has to do those types of tricks because it has to make you think it’s hard to let go of – but it’s not. ๐ The negative belief will use any tool and device it can to trick you into thinking it’s more difficult than it is – for example, that “Ugh” feeling…that drop in the stomach feeling.
But if you know it’s just a product of the belief, if you know it’s just smoke and mirrors – it’s just a lie – then you can see through it and act through and in spite of it.
Because if you really do wanna let those negative beliefs go, you can…by simply identifying them and seeing how non-sensical they really are.
The first thing you can choose to realize is that they’re just beliefs. It’s not a fact that you’re not good enough, lazy, destined to be alone, afraid, etc, etc. etc. It’s just something you’ve been told is true to prevent you from looking at something that’s negative that doesn’t want you to let go. You can choose to see the trick and once you see the trick you’ll get fired up and realize that you have every opportunity to discover what that false belief is – and let it go. You can choose to not fall prey to the trick. That’s just how the ego/personality is structured, with this negative belief system in place.
Positive beliefs don’t have to work hard because they’re telling you something that is true. Negative beliefs have to work hard and trick you because the only way to convince you that what the negative belief is saying is true is to lie to you over and over and over and over again and reinforce it with the ideas, emotions, thoughts and behaviors because they – the negative beliefs – have to work harder to trick you and convince you because what they’re saying is a lie.
On the other hand, positive beliefs can be completely transparent.
The more you choose to see through the illusion, the more you can see it’s false – it’s just a belief, not a fact. And beliefs can be changed – now.
“Deep rooted beliefs”
The belief wants you to believe it’s “deep rooted.” This is false. Not a fact. You are constantly changing yourself, constantly a new person in a new moment having a brand-new experience. But you have bought into the idea of what the negative belief is telling you, so then the next person you become in the next moment recreates that negative belief for some sense of “continuity.” It’s an illusion that you are the “same person” as you were - you’re not. You can choose to redefine yourself in any way you want in any moment. You don’t have to buy into the idea that beliefs are “deep rooted” or “passed down from generation to generation.”
That’s not a fact. There are only five Universal facts:
-
I exist. I am.
-
Everything is here and now, the past and future are illusions.
-
The one is all and the all is one.
-
What we put out comes back to us.
-
Everything changes (except for #1-4).
So what’s happening is that you keep choosing it (the negative belief) again and again. It’s a reality loop. So you feel “stuck and powerless.”
These are not facts. They are conditions, illusions, ideas, perspectives, and beliefs, which you can choose to change in any moment. A belief is just a thought you keep thinking.
So catch yourself when you say a belief is “deep rooted.” You’re creating a spell, an energetic formula that makes you believe it’s “deep rooted.”
It’s a presentation – an illusion – an idea – a perspective – something the negative belief is asking you to buy, so it can perpetuate itself.
