Pitch for Living in the NOW
Jan 16, 2024What’s the hurry? You are an eternal being. Your time is not “short.” Paradoxically, when you feel that time is short is - when you think that time is short. It is always the perfect amount of time. Divine timing.
If you let go of that false belief, you use and experience your time wisely.
When you stay in the present you experience the least amount of time and the most amount of time paradoxically. When you stay in the moment you don’t experience as much time (3 hours went by but it felt like 15 minutes!) but from the point of view of everyone else you actually live longer. Also you are not aging as much as those who are not living in the present because you are not experiencing the passage of time as much by living in the present.
The amount of time you feel you’ve experienced is the actual amount of time you’ve actually aged. So if you’re focused on your excitement and it feels like 15 minutes has gone by but actually 3 hours went by, that may be true for the rest of the world, but you’ve only aged 15 minutes, not 3 hours. Because that’s the amount of time you experienced, that is the amount of time you created - 15 minutes. That’s what living in moment does for you. It increases your life span and collapses the amount of time you actually experienced.
