When It Feels Like Time is Going Slowly
Feb 04, 2024
When it feels like time is going slowly you are not enjoying the moment and being present in the moment and, that paradoxically slows things down.
What’s happening now is the most important thing that can be happening. Period. If you fully use it up – this moment – by being here now fully and being all in - you will instantly move on to something else. You will be in flow.
If you deny that what’s happening now is the most important thing that could be happening in this now moment and you resist learning something from this now moment, you will feel like you need patience because you’re waiting for something “better” to happen when nothing better can be happening than what’s happening now.
Impatience is the result of thinking you need patience because you’re not living in the present and fully using it up, being all in, whatever it may be. Impatience is when you are not unwrapping the gift that the present has given you. It’s a gift! That’s why it’s called the present. But if you are not present, you are not opening your present. Paradox again. All day long moment to moment the Universe is giving you gifts and you leave them unopened in a pile on the floor because you’re looking for “what’s better,” because you think you’re not good enough so “this” now couldn’t possibly be good enough - there must be “something better.” You can’t get there from there. There’s no bottom to this.
The solution? Simple! Be fully in the moment and use it up you and then poof! You will move on faster to something else. That is the essence of flow.
It only feels slow and stuck when you’re not enjoying what’s here and now fully. When you’re not appreciating, when you’re not present and loving what’s happening here and now… that’s what makes everything slow down until you get to the point that what’s here and right now is what you need at that moment.
So you simply are present and use it up and then before you know it, things will change but if you are impatient thinking something better should be happening right now then everything slows down.
Remember it’s only a matter of perspective. Time is your creation. When it seems like it’s going slowly it means you’re not paying attention to what’s happening in the moment. Your current knows exactly where to go - you just have to stop resisting it.
Sidenotes:
*When talking about acting on your highest excitement, if you end a sentence excitement with the word “but” - you’re not acting on your highest excitement. ๐ ๐
*Investigating and uncovering your beliefs and fears is part of your excitement - not an interruption to it.
